A comparative analysis of social vulnerability to household food security of Raya Kobo and Raya Alamata Weredas, Ethiopia

The study was conducted in Ethiopia’s neighboring weredas, Raya Alamata Tigray and Kobo Amhara regional states, to determine the reasons for disparities household food security two districts. goal see if there a link between social vulnerability terms of access communities basic infrastructures among households It employed both qualitative quantitative methods using Aloui Zouhaier governance model. Despite their near proximity, similar work habits, natural resource availability, land size, have substantial gap vulnerability, with reporting 84% insecurity 24%. examined degree households, irrigation systems, agricultural input consumption, extension packages, other support systems being primary variables connected weredas. Differences weredas were mostly attributable households’ lack supplies, services, which exacerbated by Alamata’s ostensibly, intended administrative marginalization. recommends that infrastructure, such as roads, standard education, health infrastructure facilities, etc., be provided area, federal government should hold local bodies accountable failures ensure provision services could realize reduced level insecurity.
